S: Right now we know Street Fighter IV will come out on three home platforms, but have you thought about the Wii at all?

YO: The more people that ask about it, the more likely we are to move in that direction. The very existence of Street Fighter IV was based on people asking about it for so long. If we get a lot of requests it will be something we will think about. It might be difficult to reproduce the graphics exactly as they are, but the gameplay should be completely intact. It’s something we can think about.

S: Here’s a thought. You know how Capcom is reviving Mega Man 9? Maybe you can use sprites like in the old Street Fighter games and have a special Wii version.

YO: Maybe we can do some kind of collaboration with the HD remix or something. We’ll have to think about that one.

Wii MotionPlus讓開發者驚訝

This is the one thing that I really don’t agree with Nintendo on. They didn’t tell any third parties that the Wii MotionPlus existed. Really, I think that is a horrible move on their part. It does nothing but anger the third parties that have been working hard to find a market on the Wii. I know that Nintendo is worried about keeping secrets, but I don’t doubt that they could have formed some non-disclosure agreement with at least a few close third-parties.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008 event in Tokyo, which we reported about yesterday, has started and the first few bits of new information is starting to appear.

Namco confessed to attendees that a demo for the RPG Tales of Vesperia will be released on Xbox Live this month, but it’s not yet known which countries it’ll be available in – could very well be Japan only for the time being.

They also confirmed that the game would be released in the US and Japan in August, with the European version coming in 2009.

微軟X360RPG2008在東京的初次公開會裡,已經開始且也透露第一手

新訊息。Namco對在場者表示TOV的試玩版這個月會在Xboxlive發行,

但那一個國家會先獲得試玩版目前還未知,而日本獨有只是暫時性而已。

At E3, we didn’t see anything new as far as balance board support is concerned. Is this something we should worry about? Not too long ago, we heard that multiple third parties were interested in the accessory. I thought for sure we would hear about some new titles at E3, but not even Nintendo had anything new to show off. Is the balance board already fading away into obscurity?

Many gamers have been breeding secret hopes of seeing a second Shenmue sequel on next-gen consoles, but it won’t happen. Sega president Simon Jeffery shot down those hopes, stating that there are no plans for Shenmue 3 now. However, to keep our hopes alive, he didn’t say there’s “not a chance.” Right?

MSNBC: How long of a lifespan do you see for the Wii?

Miyamoto: In looking at video games, and obviously, it’s been a short history, I’ve seen patterns where you have more refinements as you go from one system to the next, followed by big evolutions, or big changes. And example would be going from the NES to the Super NES was more of a refinement, and going from the Super NES to the Nintendo 64 was more of a big advancement.

So, looking at the recent history, I’d say that the DS and Wii together represent some of those very big changes, both on the handheld and the home console side. Based on past history, I would guess that we would see some refinement sometime in the next five to 10 years and then in another five to 10 years, you would see probably the next big evolution.

: 你怎麼看Wii主機的生命周期?

宮本:看看電視遊樂器這領域吧,很顯然地一直是個簡短的歷史,

任天堂沒說謊...

NINTENDO Didn't lie to us

We all want to know where the core games are. The vast majority of us feel slighted by what Nintendo showed off during their press conference. Where is all the core support we kept hearing about? Well, it may be on the way very soon. Nintendo never said that they would show core titles at E3, they said they would talk core titles around E3. Just how long after E3 counts as “around”? We are in a grace period for now, but as each day passes, we are left wondering when that time is going to happen.

I don’t know how anyone could think that this is a good idea, but obviously, the people at Konami have something in mind. There is a Yu-Gi-Oh! game coming to the Wii, and it’s not going to be a card battler. It’s not going to be a strategic title at all. Konami’s exact comments about the title were “Think racing.”

Not that we are aware of. All that the MotionPlus adds is the ability to track the Wii Remote in 3D space. It does however have a port at the rear, to allow you to plug in your nunchuk or other such peripherals. Also, Nintendo has now announced a community voice chat feature called WiiSpeak. It's a $30 device that sits on top of your TV enabling everyone in the room to communicate online. With this announcement, there is no longer the need for Wii MotionPlus to have voice capabilities built in.

Well you see, when a peripheral of this magnitude gets added, it really takes most of the energy from the users hand, extrapolating the heat and turning it into a viable energy source. So to answer your question, yes - however it gets recharged using the energy from your hand.Real answer: Yes. However, a more important question would be how much battery? Its really hard to say due to the fact we currently know so little about how its enhancing the motion sensing capabilities of the Wii remote. If MotionPlus does use gyroscopic technology like what was posed above, it would definitely take more energy than a traditional accelerometer would.

Wii Sports Resort with MotionPlus

Looks like Nintendo is pulling something similar to WiiPlay with the extra controller. Wii Sport Resort will be $49.99 and will include the MotionPlus adapter. I must say that I can’t wait to see non-Wii Sports games utilize this new technology!

Wii Music to be at E3

No big surprise here, but it’s nice to have confirmation. A Japanese news outlet is reporting that Nintendo has some big plans to show off Wii Music, Miyamoto’s new baby. The title has been in development for quite a long time. It will be interesting to see what Nintendo has done with the project since we last saw it. I hope the title has evolved a considerable amount, since Nintendo is hoping to sell 2 million units in Japan alone.
